WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME AND MODULE HANDBOOK?
Think of the Programme and Module Handbook as your academic roadmap—it contains everything you need to know about your course structure, module options, assessments, and key academic policies. Whether you’re planning your modules for the year, checking assessment formats, or figuring out progression requirements, this is the place to look.
The handbook is split into two key sections:
Programme Handbook – This covers the overall structure of your degree, including compulsory and optional modules, credit requirements, and any specific regulations that apply to your course. It’s particularly useful when choosing modules or understanding how your degree is structured over the years.
Module Handbook – This is normally accessed by clicking the link to the relevant module in the programme handbook. It provides detailed information about an individual module, including learning outcomes, assessment methods (essays, exams, presentations, etc.), and reading lists. If you’re unsure about submission formats, or what you need to do to pass a module, this section has the answers.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE HANDBOOK FOR MY COURSE?
You can access your Programme and Module Handbook online via the dedicated Sharepoint page.
Staying informed about your course requirements will help you stay on track, plan ahead, and avoid any last-minute surprises. If you’re unsure about anything in the handbook, don’t hesitate to ask your module leader or academic advisor for clarification!
