It is important to note that your student group account does not have an overdraft, so you need to make sure that any spending is done within the means of the money that is in your account. As the SU is a registered charity, we are not able to provide funds to groups who mismanage their finances.
If your group does go into debt (a negative balance) your account will be suspended for 7 days and you must fundraise to get your account back into a positive balance as soon as possible. If after 7 days your group still has a negative balance, you must continue to fundraise until you have a positive balance.
