Yes you can! Durham SU has a number of Square card readers that your groups can borrow to receive payments for events, activities, and fundraising. The card readers are already linked to the Student Union's bank account, so these are the only card readers that our groups are allowed to use. Even if you have your own Square account, you will still need to use our readers and our account, as you are not allowed to hold group funds in alternative accounts.
If you group would like to borrow a card reader for your group activity, please fill in our Equipment Request Form and one of our ASK Assistants will be in touch shortly. They will get the readers set up and available for your group to collect before your event / activity. They will also provide you with instructions on how to use the card reader itself.
Please note that the Durham SU card readers are only available to Durham SU registered groups; if the activity / funds earned are not for an SU registered group then, unfortunately, we cannot provide you these readers.
